<p><p>Klassen, Katy (Neufeld) </p><p>On March 13, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer, Katy Klassen left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father.</p><p><br></p><p>Katy was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan on Feb 14, 1936. She moved to Niagara on the Lake with her family when she was 8 years old and lived there her whole life. She married her one and only sweetheart, Art Klassen on Nov 17, 1956. She led a life focused on her faith, her family and faith community. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. Her geraniums were the envy of the neighborhood! All who knew her, know she was a devoted wife and loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>Katy was one of 6 children and predeceased by brother Elmer Neufeld, Marilyn Dirks (nee Neufeld) and leaves behind sisters Erica Friesen (Neufeld), Elsie Dyck (Neufeld) and brother John Neufeld (Barb). She is survived by her husband Art and children Eleanor (& Jim) Dick, Beverly (& Simon) Drakeford, Judy (& Richard) Hinz, 6 grandchildren Heather (& James) Smithson, Eric (& Laura) Dick, Heidi (& Ben) Neufeld, Alex Schanbacher, Daniel (& Emily O’Rourke) Drakeford, Jennifer (& Bobby) Gorham-Collins and 13 great grandchildren will miss her dearly but know that there was great rejoicing in her arrival home.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 31st at 11:00am at Cornerstone Community Church, (434 Hunter Rd., Niagara on the Lake) followed by a lunch reception and time of fellowship at Caroline Cellars (1010 Line 2 Rd., Niagara on the Lake).</p></p>February 14, 1936 - March 13, 202602/14/193603/13/2026
