<p>Charly R. Donahue, 72, of Baldwinsville, NY & Punta Gorda, FL, passed away February 25, 2026, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>Charly was born in Bindlach, Germany and raised in Scriba, NY. He was the son of the late Richard and Dorothea (Tiedemann) Donahue.</p><p><br></p><p>Charly attended Oswego High School. After high school, he started his 30+ year career as a boilermaker, working across the country, until he retired. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers union.</p><p><br></p><p>In retirement, Charly enjoyed golfing, biking, and spending the winters in the sunshine of Florida and summers in Baldwinsville, NY, surrounded by friends. Charly was a lifelong music lover. From hitchhiking to Woodstock in 1969 to seeing Tom Petty and Steely Dan in New York City with his daughter in 2017, plus hundreds of shows in between, Charly was a passionate fan of the bands he grew up on. He was an avid reader, a master at the NY Times crossword puzzle, and always quick with a joke.</p><p><br></p><p>Charly is survived by his daughter, Emily Donahue, his sister, Deborah, and brother-in-law Jay Leo, as well as nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 38 years, Jennifer, and their youngest daughter, Colleen Donahue.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Charly at a memorial to be held later this summer in Liverpool, NY.</p><p><br><br></p><p><br></p>January 11, 1954 - February 25, 202601/11/195402/25/2026
