<p>Julieta “Julie” Claro Rowlett of Berryville, Arkansas was born August 14, 1955, in Mangagoy Bislig City, Surigao del sur, Philippines to Sabino Claro and Estelita Agravante Claro.</p><p><br></p><p>Julie’s life was shaped by dedication, learning, and a quiet strength that carried her through every chapter. Born with a spirit eager to grow, she began her education at Mangagoy Elementary School (1964–1969) and continued at St. Joseph’s College for her secondary studies (1970–1973). Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Southwestern University in Cebu City, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 an accomplishment she carried with pride throughout her life.</p><p>Julie devoted her early career to public service, working as the Municipal Population Officer for District 1 in Bislig, Surigao del Sur from 1977 to 1984. Her commitment to her community was evident in the care she brought to her work and the people she served.</p><p><br></p><p>Education remained close to her heart, and she shared her gifts as an instructor at St. Joseph Technical School and Andres Soriano College in Bislig, shaping young minds with patience, guidance, and a steady belief in the power of learning.</p><p>In 1984, Julie began a new chapter with Tyson Foods / Green Forest, where she continued to work with dedication and reliability for decades. Her work ethic, loyalty, and quiet perseverance earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. On January 9, 1994, Julie was president of the NWA Filipino Association.</p><p><br></p><p>Julie is survived by her sisters Erlinda Claro Myers, Juana Claro Tayabas, Sabina M. Claro, Amelita Claro Burden, Maria Claro Olaer; nieces and nephews Michael C Tayabas, Flora Mea C. Tayabas, Billharold C. Tayabas, Icy Mae Olaer, Mariane Eve Olaer, Angelica Olaer, Richard Christopher Myers and wife Brielle, Joshua Kane Myers, Vanessa Wylynn Myers and husband Gabriel Perkins, Daphne Mae Johnson; great nieces Cora Lee Johnson, Maysie Brie Tayabas, Jacob T. Enario; stepsons and stepdaughters, David Rowlett, Lisa Rowlett Carlson and husband Joel.</p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents Sabino Claro and Estelita Claro, husband Jackie Rowelett, sister Gregoria Catoe.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Archibong officiating.
