<p>Michele Jude Greenfield passed away on December 6, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital. Her loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew her and an enduring legacy in the countless lives she touched.</p><p><br></p><p>Michele was born on January 31, 1962, to William Leary and Rosemary (Weil) Greenfield in Evansville, Indiana. Michele graduated from Memorial High School in 1980 and earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology and two Postmaster Degrees in School and Clinical Psychology from the University of Evansville.</p><p><br></p><p>Michele dedicated her life to understanding, supporting, and uplifting children and their families. As a devoted psychologist, she offered guidance to not only children but their teachers and communities. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in every child’s potential made her a trusted advocate and a source of calm during difficult moments. To Michele, her work was never just a career - it was a calling.</p><p><br></p><p>Michele is survived by sisters, Donna Hess of Indianapolis, Emma (Dan) Leraris of Evansville, and Mary (Ralph) Millsaps of Newburgh; brother, Dennis (Krista) Greenfield of Evansville; sister-in-law, Sallie Greenfield; many nieces and nephews; and is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Greenfield; and her brother-in-law, John Hess.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of Michele’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N S Wabash Ave., Evansville, IN 47712. Friends and family can visit from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the church, and a Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am at St. Boniface. A procession will follow to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to St. Boniface, 418 Wabash Avenue of Flags, Evansville, IN 47712 or Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, 3701 Bellemeade Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
