Ashley Michele Sanders, age 20, was born in College Station, Texas, and passed away on January 7, 2026. Ashley’s passing occurred on a deeply meaningful date—the same day she was baptized in 2018—marking a full-circle moment of faith and hope for those who love her. Ashley professed her faith in Jesus Christ, and her spiritual journey continued to grow and take shape throughout her life. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace and in the loving presence of her Savior. Through Christ’s promise of eternal life, Ashley’s story does not end here, and her loved ones hold tightly to the hope of reunion through Him. Ashley was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin. She was known for her compassionate heart, beautiful spirit, and loyal devotion to those she loved. Those who knew Ashley will always remember her quick wit, her dimple, and her ability to make you feel included and as though you had known her for years. Ashley’s passions included a remarkable gift for writing—she could write about anything, bringing words to life with creativity and depth. Her talent and dedication led to her writing being published in a book, a meaningful accomplishment that reflected her creativity and voice. She was deeply creative and an artist at heart, expressing herself through imagination, beauty, and thoughtful reflection. Ashley is survived by her mother, Renee Sanders; her father, Shannon Sanders; her sister, Emily Sanders Navarro, her husband, Francisco Navarro, and their daughter, Camila Renee Navarro. Additional survivors include her maternal grandmother, Connie McCleese, and her husband, Dan McCleese; her step-grandmother, Diane Brogdon; and her paternal grandmother, Margo “Honey” Sanders. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Donald “Pap” Sanders, and her maternal grandfather, Gene Brogdon. Ashley is lovingly remembered by her extended family, including her uncles and aunts: Edwin Brogdon Jr. and his wife Hillary Brogdon, and their children James Brogdon and Colin Brogdon; Jessica Brogdon Shannon, her husband, Chandler Shannon, and their daughter, Livia Shannon; and Greg Brogdon, along with his children Jenna Brogdon and Seth Brogdon. Ashley’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, faith, creativity, and meaning. Her memory will live on through her family and all who were touched by her life. Through Jesus Christ, we hold to the promise that death is not the end and that love continues eternally. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”— **Romans 8:28 “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”— **Jeremiah 29:11
