Joseph Sidney Bosinoff
<p>Joseph S. Bosinoff, age 101, of Peabody, entered eternal rest on December 23, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>Joseph was the devoted husband of the late Ida (Balan) Bosinoff, with whom he shared more than 64 years of marriage. He was a loving father to Linda Arst and her husband Steven, and to Donna Bosinoff, and a proud grandfather of Rachel Arst McCullough and her husband Garrett, and Jonathan Arst and his wife Mary. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and by his younger sister, Rosalie.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in 1924, Joseph grew up in Malden and graduated from high school at 17. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1941 and served for six years. His first assignment was aboard the USS New Mexico. As the need for medical personnel increased, he later attended Hospital Corps school, where he was trained in physiotherapy. He then spent 18 months in Adak, Alaska, helping wounded servicemen recover and return to action, and later served in Warm Springs, Georgia. His final assignment was in Washington, DC, where he served on the staff of the first Attending Physician to Congress.</p><p><br></p><p>After his military service, Joseph used the GI Bill to purchase a grocery store and went on to build a successful business career. Through determination, resourcefulness, and sharp judgment, he rose to become President and a Director of a publicly traded food manufacturing company, accomplishments he achieved without ever attending college. </p><p><br></p><p>Joseph was a man of strength, integrity, and deep devotion to his family. </p><p><br></p><p>Services were held at the Chapel of Maple Hill Cemetery, 98 Canterbury Drive, Peabody, on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Memorial week will be observed privately. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott, MA.</p>March 5, 1924 - December 23, 202503/05/192412/23/2025
