Nancy Jane Lewis
<p>Nancy Jane Lewis, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:29 pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born on August 19, 1939, in Wabash, to Gail Lamoine and Velma Alice (Eltzroth) King.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Wabash High School. She married DeWayne Dale Lewis at the Wabash Christian Church on August 30, 1957. Nancy held a variety of jobs over her life including the Curb-A-Teria, General Telephone, Wabash City Schools, owned and operated Indiana Beauty Salon & Tanning, and C.V.S. Pharmacy. She loved to watch the Chicago Cubs, Indiana University basketball, and any sporting event at Wabash High School. Nancy also spent time volunteering at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, as well as babysat. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, getting her hair done, and playing cards with her friends at Wellbrooke. The most important thing to Nancy was being around her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband, DeWayne Lewis, of Wabash; four children, Jeff (Susan) Lewis of Phoenix, Arizona, Bryan (Kathy) Lewis of Marion, Greg (Emma) Lewis of Wabash, and Angie (Robert) Hall of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Kyle (Jamie) Lewis, Brandon (Garret) Coleman-Lewis, Jaclyn (Justin) Holley, Kaitlin (West) McDonald, and Montana (Cortney Morris) Hall, eleven great grandchildren, Addison and Callie Holley, Jesiah Satterfield, Khaleesi McDonald, Liliana Hall, and Adam, Christopher, Peyton, Jason, Owen, and Gavin Lewis, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Christopher Lewis, brother, Robert King, and nephew, Kenny King.</p><p><br></p><p>There will be a private celebration of Nancy's life at a later date. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
