Diane Krepelka Tyree lived her life with quiet strength, steady grace, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved most. She passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and selflessness that will continue to shape her family for generations.

Born on October 5, 1947, in San Francisco, California, Diane showed early on that she was someone who led by example. Intelligent, driven, and deeply grounded, she graduated as valedictorian of her class at El Camino High School. She went on to earn an associate degree from Denver Community College, carrying with her a lifelong commitment to excellence and hard work.

Diane built a successful career as Office Manager at Ideal Industries, where she was respected not only for her professionalism, but for her genuine care for coworkers and customers alike. She had a remarkable ability to balance a demanding career while pouring her heart fully into her family. No matter how busy life became, Diane always put the needs of others before her own. She was a provider, a peacemaker, and the steady presence her family could always depend on.

Above all else, Diane was devoted to her family. She shared nearly six decades of marriage with her beloved husband, Gene Autry Tyree. Their 59 years together were marked by loyalty, partnership, and deep love. Gene’s passing just last month made Diane’s loss all the more tender for those who loved them both.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Christina Tyree, and her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and James Lewis. Diana was a cherished grandmother to Blake Lewis (Madison), Sidnee Bancroft (Drew), Jacob Lewis (Ashley), Ciera Lane (Sawyer), and Collin Tyree. Diane was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy and pride. To them, she was not only a grandmother and great-grandmother, but a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Tyree, and her parents, James and Adeline Krepelka.

As we honor Diane’s life, we invite friends and family to join us for a visitation at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the family she cherished, and the love she so freely gave.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Agape Hospice for the dignity, compassion, and attentive care provided to Gene and Diane during their final days.

Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com.
