<p>Funeral services for Katheryn “Katie” Dennis will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Rockcreek Cemetery of Okemah.</p><p><br></p><p>Katheryn Louise Dennis, known by most as Katie, was born June 9, 1950 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Clarence and Beulah (Wells) Tillery. She was delivered at home by her grandma Tillery. She passed away, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in Okemah at the age of 75.</p><p><br></p><p>Katie was a lifelong resident of the Okemah area and attended Lone Star and Okemah Schools. She and Edward Dennis were married on June 19, 1984; he later preceded her in death September 17, 2022. Katie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working her flower beds and listening and dancing to old 45 and 78 vinyl records (especially Strokin’, The Twist and Slowhand). She also enjoyed fishing, playing board and card games, playing games on her tablet and watching tv with her dogs. Katie attended the 8th Street Holiness Church of Okemah. She also enjoyed hanging out and going riding around wither her close friend, Krystal McCutcheon.</p><p><br></p><p>Also preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Leon, Johnnie, Melvin, Marvin and Donnie Tillery and 8 sisters, Ruby Fuller, Bessie McCormick, Freda Wind, Betty Smith, Opal Smith, Delois Smith, Donna Sue Tillery and Gladys Bennett.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her three sons, Melvin Tillery, Richard Dennis and Edward Dennis all of Okemah; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Tillery, Mitch Guinn, Rick Smith, Robert Smith, Mike Harjochee and Gary Wind.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Sister Charlsie Rich.</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be made at www.ParksBrothersFuneralHome.com.</p><p><br></p>June 9, 1950 - November 26, 202506/09/195011/26/2025
