<p>William "Bill" D. Pelfry, 66, of Ironton, OH passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Bill was born September 26, 1959.</p><p><br></p><p>William lived a life that was known for his gentle yet feisty and fun spirit, warm laughter and comfort that he brought to those around him. He made every ordinary moment memorable in his own way. Throughout his life, he was known for his adventures, generosity and humor. He enjoyed music, cooking and spending time with family. William was a 1977 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He moved to South Carolina where he built a family and worked as a hotel manager overseeing the Palace Hotel. He was part of the Shriners and Masons where he held membership in KY and SC. He attended First United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities.</p><p><br></p><p>Bill was preceded in death by his parents; Phil Pelfry and Dorothy Whitt Pelfry, his grandparents; Wallace and Margaret Pelfry and Carl and Kate Whitt.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Lori Griffith (Josh) and Sterling Pelfry (Samantha), his grandchildren; Skyler, Landon, Azalynn, Zerah, Kinley, Asher and great-grandson; Ryker, his sister; Terrie Long (John), nieces and nephews; Jessica Jones, Ray Jones II, Brittany Copley, Joseph Copley, Michael Norris, Lexie and Landon Ryatt, Mika, Camron, Rayden, Michael and Daniel and numerous cousins who will forever cherish the memories and love he left behind.</p><p><br></p><p>Though William is no longer with us, his love and laughter that he shared with us will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral service will be 12:00pm, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St. Ironton, OH with Pastor J.D. Crockrel officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30am until the time of service. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
