<p>Linda Gail Simmons Seagle, 83, of Taylorsville, N.C., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Carolina Caring in Newton, surrounded by her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Seagle was born July 18, 1942, in Alexander County to the late Dewey Lawrence Simmons and Lucy Lenabelle Cline Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Gene Seagle; her son, Darrell Gene Seagle; her sisters, Nancy Goforth, Hilda Simmons, and Patsy Sigmon; and her brother, Jeff Simmons.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Seagle was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church, where she dearly loved her church family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a deep and abiding love for each of them.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Nick Seagle and wife Laurel, and Casey Seagle, all of Bethlehem, and Ryan Neal Seagle of Florida; her daughter, Sherry Ann Seagle of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Jackson Southard and wife Elysha of California, Hayden Seagle and longtime partner Ashley Carroll of Bethlehem, Piper Seagle of Asheville, Tiffany Seagle, Kayla Seagle, and Devin Seagle; her great-granddaughter, Greenlea June Seagle; and six siblings, Joe Simmons of Bethlehem, Dean Simmons of Alabama, Lee Simmons, Deborah Simmons, Melissa Richey, and Michael Simmons, all of Bethlehem.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26th at Shiloh Lutheran Church, 1011 Shiloh Church Rd., Hickory, NC 28601, with Pastor Jason Sigmon officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Lutheran Church Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Lutheran Church, 1011 Shiloh Church Rd., Hickory, NC 28601.</p><p><br></p><p>Bass-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory in Hickory is serving the family of Mrs. Seagle.</p>July 18, 1942 - November 22, 202507/18/194211/22/2025
