<p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Patty L. Rinker, 85 of Altoona died early Friday morning October 24, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Surviving are her husband, William C. Rinker; three daughters, Patricia (Sam), Deborah, and Edie (Mike); and five grandchildren, Brittany, Sadie, Cylyn, Iceis, and Syrus.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Patty was a 1958 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School, and a 1989 graduate of beauty school.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was the owner/operator of her own hair salon from 2008 until her retirement in 2024.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Patty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, Gilmore Girls, and Murder She Wrote; she also enjoyed sewing, especially clothing and stuffed animals; and she also appreciated climbing into clean sheets on her bed and maintaining clean floors in her home.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Patty was a kind and generous person. She always was available to take care of others, even complete strangers if they had a need. She was even tempered and never yelled.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She missed the company of “Lucy” her favorite Beagle-Basset hound fur-baby following her passing. Patty’s greatest love was reading and studying her Bible.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no funeral service.</p> </p>
