<p>McDuffie County</p><p><br></p><p>Janet Louise Bennier, 70, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 13, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>Janet was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 8, 1955, grew up in Augusta, Georgia and lived most of her life in West Virginia. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Union Point Baptist Church. Janet loved being around people, enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents George Bell Cato and Mildred Virginia Cato Rabun and her brothers, Michael Cato and Bobby Cato. Janet’s survivors include her husband of 20 years, Barry Bennier; her children, Andy Lyttle, Tamara Rabun (Patti), Chris Rabun (Jennifer), Rusty Lyttle (April), Corey Bennier and Sheana Bennier; her brothers, Shannon Cato and Terry Cato; her sister, Susie Izbicki; sister-in-law, Lora Cato; her grandchildren, Lexi Lyttle, Ethan Rabun, Alyssa Rabun and Noah Lyttle; her great grandchild, Callie Mcleod; her lifelong best friends, Aleta Hammond and Kathy Wright and other extended family.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service on November 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at home of Chris Rabun, 4250 GA Hwy 80 E, Waynesboro, Georgia.
