<p>Mary Ellen Maroszek (née Newsom) found peace and was reunited with her husband, Robert, on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the age of 74. Loving daughter of Mae and the late Calvin Newsom. Cherished mother of Jason (Cori) and Ryan (Melissa). Proud Grandma of Alyssa, Hayley, AJ, Micah, Xander and Kieran.</p><p><br></p><p>She is further survived by her brothers Larry (Margaret), Dan (Debbie), Dave (Sheryl) and sisters Carol and Dorothy, as well as many more relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ellen worked for GE Healthcare for 40 years. She held many positions, the last being Executive Assistant in Marketing Communications at her retirement in 2009. She was widely known throughout GEHC as the contact for the Children’s Christmas Party. Coordinating games and tickets to attend and spent many hours wrapping the gifts with her mother, Mae. She was also an integral part for the start of the “Quick Thanks” program that allowed employees to reward colleagues. She also spent five years helping to coordinate the Corporate Executive Leadership meeting at The Breakers in Florida; managing room reservations, meeting rooms, food, beverage, extra-curricular activities for the management team and served as on-site liaison for day-to-day requests. She supported the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as she was a 20-year breast cancer survivor herself.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary Ellen loved her family above all else. She enjoyed supporting anything with her grandchildren. Holidays were always special. The trips she took with her family and friends were memories that she cherished forever.</p><p><br></p><p>Thank you to everyone who helped Mary Ellen as she maneuvered through this last battle of cancer. Thank you, Kerry Duffy and Jan Schweiger, for consistent care and compassion. We are grateful to you.</p><p><br></p><p>Gathering at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 12700 West Howard Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 11, 2025, with 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM visitation, 11:00 AM Funeral Mass.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.</p><p> </p><p><br></p><p> </p>
