<p>Marilyn Jean Osweiler “MO”, age 82, of La Crosse, WI made her heavenly transition on Sunday August 24th, 2025 at Bluffview Memory Care Center in Holmen, WI. Marilyn was born in La Crosse on December 22, 1942 to John Robert (“Jack”) Smith and Pernell Agnes (“Nell”) (Kenyon) Smith. She married Raymond John Osweiler Jr. on April 4th, 1964 in La Crosse.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn worked many jobs over the years including selling Sarah Coventry jewelry, working at Goodwill, but her favorite job was a sales clerk at Degen Berglund Pharmacy in the village. As most people knew of MO she had a love for music, especially Elvis, Patsy Cline, writing poetry and a few songs. She enjoyed playing cribbage and scrabble. At D & B there was always a Hershey chocolate bar and a can of Pepsi at the counter with her sarcastic wit with customers and co workers alike.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn is survived by her three adult children, Curtis (Denice) Osweiler and their children Ashley and Amber Osweiler; Corey Osweiler, Kelly (Bob) Geary and their children Lauren and Morgan Geary who affectionately called her MeMO. She is also survived by her sister in law Janine Smith.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, her step father Irv Holliday, her siblings Robert (“Bud”) Smith, Richard (“Dick”) Smith and his wife Marilyn, Donald (“Don”) Smith and his wife Kay, Beverly McCoy and her husband Robert (“Bob”), David (“Blue”) Smith and his wife Bonnie, along with two infant siblings Hazel Pernell Smith and John Edward Smith. She is also preceded in death by Raymond’s siblings, Robert (“Ozzie”) Osweiler and his wife Delores, Richard (“Richie”) Osweiler, Rita Fried and her husband Jim, and Ronald Osweiler.</p><p><br></p><p>Marilyn’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Bluffview Memory Care for their compassion over the last two years.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and family are invited to join us to celebrate Marilyn on Thursday September 4th, 2025 at Dickinson Funeral Home on Jackson Street, La Crosse, WI with service at 11am with visitation two hours prior to the service.</p><p><br></p><p>“Return to Sender”</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.dickinsonfunerlhomes.com</p>
