<p align="center"><b>Gordon (Gordy) Hamilton Sloan II</b></p><p align="center"><b>1957 – 2025</b></p><p align="center"><b><br></b></p><p>Gordon “Gordy” Hamilton Sloan II, 68, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, passed away on August 9, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in the Milwaukee area, Gordy built a life rooted in hard work, kindness, and a love of connecting with people.</p><p><br></p><p>Gordy spent decades in the restaurant and hospitality industry, leaving his mark at establishments including Mader’s, Riverlane Inn, Bluemound Country Club, and Silver Spring Country Club. From 1999 until his retirement in 2022, he proudly owned and operated the Loaf & Jug Restaurant in Brookfield, Elm Grove, Delafield and Pewaukee, creating not just meals, but memories for his community.</p><p><br></p><p>He was the beloved son of the late Frances (Meadows) Janecek and devoted husband of Linda (Steffen) Sloan. Gordy was a loving brother to Donna (Edward) Moras and chose with an open heart to be a father to Ken Matson (Penelope), Brandon Matson (Jennifer), Amber Matson (Dylan), and Devin Matson. He was a proud and loving grandpa to Rhiannon, Anthony, Jordan, Zander, Signe, Shawn and Cassondra.</p><p><br></p><p>Gordy will be remembered for his generosity, sharp wit, and the way he made everyone feel welcome—whether in his restaurant or in his home.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Monday, August 18, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
