<p>New Gloucester</p><p><br></p><p>Sandra “Sandy” L. Fowler, 71, died July 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born March 31, 1954, in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of William A. and Grace M. (Duffield) Carels.</p><p><br></p><p>Sandy was a graduate of Burlington County College in Burlington, New Jersey. She served 28 years in the U.S. Air Force as a health technician. Sandy work in New Jersey at Biotech then moved to the Northeast at Maine Medical Center in Portland as a Biotech and later went to Idexx as a chemist biotech where she retired from.</p><p><br></p><p>Sandy married the love of her life Randy S. Fowler on October 8, 2005. She loved swimming and gardening. Her interest was in animals, she loved to see the birds coming in, but the one she wanted to come was a cardinal and after a few years they came. Randy and Sandy decided to get a dog since they had a cat, so they got Jenny an older dog. Sandy loves to go online and check the Idexx bulletin board. She found there was another dog that needed a home, so Kendra came to live with them, then Lexie, Oney, Gretta, and finally Scottie. A few years later Sandy asked if another cat could come in as it needed a home, so they got a new cat. Randy and Sandy loved all their animals, they were very special to them.</p><p><br></p><p>Sandy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Randy; several cousins and nephews.
