Jerold "Jerry" Alvin Baum
<p><p><br> Jerold (Jerry) Baum, born May 17, 1932 to Aline and Ben Baum. He passed on August 10, 2025. He was married to Dorothy for 62 years until her passing in 2017. He retired after 44 years from the Air Force/Air National Guard as Lt. Colonel. He also served as a Liaison Officer for the US Air Force Academy and finished his career at the Ohio Bureau of Employment Svs in Toledo and Bowling Green. In his early years, he played in his own Orchestra, The Jerry Baum Orchestra, performing at many local clubs and parties. He graduated from Scott High School 1950 and The University of Toledo where he was the Drum Major for each. He served as a Past President and Scholarship committee member for the Old Newsboys. He also was nominated for the Scott High Hall of Fame and was awarded the Raggedies Mensch Award.</p> <p>Jerry was predeceased by his brother Carl Baum. He is survived by his three children; David, Marty (Monique Comfort) Baum and Marcia (Nat) Love. He has 7 grandchildren; Morgan, Jordan K. (Kevin Wipplinger), and Nicholas Baum. Ben (Courtney), Jared (Amanda), Jordan A. and Zachary Love. And 3 great-grandchildren; Harper Madelyn, and Makenzie who made him smile every time they visited.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 11:00 a.m. in the Robert H. WICK/Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615.
