Diana "Mitzi" Lynn Morehouse
<p>SUN PRAIRIE - Diana "Mitzi" Lynn Morehouse, age 76, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on October 19, 1948, in Madison, the daughter of Norbert and Violet (Burkeland) Morehouse.</p><p><br></p><p>Diana graduated from Madison East High School in 1966 and UW-La Crosse in 1970. She and her partner JoAnn Jensen were together for over 48 years and married on November 10, 2017, in Madison. Diana worked as a deputy director for Central Wisconsin Center for 39 years, retiring in 2010.</p><p><br></p><p>Mitzi will be remembered fondly for the way she cared for those she loved. A gifted athlete, she excelled at softball and proudly played for a semi-pro traveling team. Her love for the game continued throughout her life, and some of her happiest moments were spent in the stands, cheering on her son and granddaughter as they played. She and JoAnn cherished their annual trips to Door County and the Smoky Mountains, creating memories filled with laughter and adventure. Mitzi also took great pride in keeping a perfectly manicured lawn, and she adored her dogs, Razzle and Cooper. Fiercely devoted to her family, she gave them unwavering love and care, leaving a legacy of strength, dedication, and warmth.</p><p><br></p><p>Mitzi is survived by her wife, JoAnn; son, Scott (Shelly) Jensen; granddaughter, Paige Jensen; sisters, Bobbi Jones and Norene Bailey; brother, Richard Jensen; aunt, Sister Anne Morehouse; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
