<p>Randall Earl Dean, 68, of Irving, Texas passed away on June 30, 2025. He was born in Plainview, Texas, on Dec. 20, 1956, to Don Dean and Nell Mitchell Dean, where he spent his childhood. Randall attended college at The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He went on to enjoy a successful career at Andersen Consulting, later founding his own independent consulting firm supporting clients including Duke Energy, Southwest Airlines, and many others.</p><p><br></p><p>Randall was a loving father, grandfather (called “Randdad”) and friend who was known for his big personality, easy way of making conversation with acquaintances both old and new and being the life of the party everywhere he went. He was a member of Las Colinas Country Club where he enjoyed games of cards, golf and socializing with friends, and was active in the local community, most recently supporting election efforts for Irving City Council. Randall was a sports enthusiast and dedicated fan of the Texas Longhorns.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his son, Michael Dean (Brooke), of Chicago, IL; daughter, Lauren Dean (Zachary Menk), of San Diego, CA; their mother, Freda Dean, of Ruidoso, NM; brother, Stanley Dean, of Irving, TX; and grandchildren Eleanor Dean, Margot Dean and Paxton Dean, of Chicago, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home in Irving, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends for a celebration of Randall’s life beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of sending flowers or food, for those wishing to honor Randall’s life, the family is encouraging donations to an endowed scholarship fund in Randall's name, through the Irving Schools Foundation. The scholarship will provide support for Irving-area students attending The University of Texas at Austin.
