Lissett Luna Estevez

Lissett Luna Estevez entered into the glorious presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She passed peacefully, surrounded by love.

Born in Cornwall, New York, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Lissett was a radiant light to all who knew her. She demonstrated leadership and brilliance early on, winning a prestigious study abroad opportunity in Japan during high school. She graduated from Boston English High School, where she served proudly as Class President. Driven by a passion for learning, Lissett earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with Magna Cum Laude honors and later obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Endicott College.

Lissett’s professional path was marked by excellence and compassion. She managed several elite restaurants on both coasts of the United States, serving high-profile clientele with grace and elegance. Most recently, she served as a supervisor with the Massachusetts Department of Health and Human Services, where she helped countless individuals gain access to vital health care services. Her dedication earned her a Citation for Outstanding Performance from the Governor.

Lissett had an infectious laugh, an eye for beauty, and a heart for people. She was a cultured intellectual who embraced the arts, fashion, global travel, and cross-cultural connection. Her adventurous spirit took her across continents, where she formed lasting bonds and celebrated the richness of humanity.

Above all, Lissett believed in the power of family and unity. She was a natural rescuer—always the first to show up with words of wisdom, a listening ear, or a helping hand. She nurtured friendships into lifelong sisterhoods and held her loved ones close through every season.

Lissett’s greatest joy was her marriage to Eric Estevez, a beautiful partnership built on love, respect, and a shared commitment to service. Together, they radiated warmth and generosity.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eric Estevez; her devoted sister, Sally Scribner; her cherished nephew, Jaylen Alejandro Scribner; her beloved niece, Leyla Lissett Scribner; and many treasured family members & friends, including additional father figures, William Tayler, Rubin Cubero, and the Vita soul sister’s she grew up with. She is reunited in eternal peace with her mother, Blanca Castro; her father, Raul Luna; and her brother, Alejandro Guirola.

Family and friends will honor Lissett's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Saturday, July 12th from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. A graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett on Friday, July 18th at 11:00 A.M. Please meet directly in front of the cemetery gate.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lissett’s honor to the Ellie Fund (www.elliefund.org), a non-profit dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients and their families.

Lissett will be remembered for her laughter, her elegance, her wisdom, and the profound love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
