<p>LeeRoy George Robinson, 65, of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>LeeRoy was born on October 12, 1959, in Martins District, St. Mary, Jamaica W.I. to the late Sylvia (nee Jackson) and Hubert Robinson.</p><p><br></p><p>LeeRoy served as an officer of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, proudly protecting the people of Kingston, Jamaica for seven years before immigrating to the United States. He then worked in a variety of security jobs before joining the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 42, where he remained until the end of his career.</p><p><br></p><p>LeeRoy was dedicated to his wife, children, and extended family. He was a friend to everyone and had a contagious aura that drew people to him. What made him so beloved was his willingness to help those in need. LeeRoy was actively involved in various community initiatives, while also using his skills as a handyman and electrician wherever needed.</p><p><br></p><p>LeeRoy was a fan of history, an avid lover of all genres of music, and could hold a conversation on most any topic. In his spare time, he loved to cook and share his creations with friends and family on any occasion. LeeRoy also enjoyed going on bike rides, taking long walks in the park, and was deeply committed to community service.</p><p><br></p><p>LeeRoy is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Janet (nee Thompson) Robinson of Hartford; his children, Simone Robinson of Hartford and LeRoy Robinson, Jr. of New York; his brothers, Alton Robinson of Florida and Henrick and wife Valerie Robinson of Jamaica; his nephew. Andre Robinson of Jamaica; long-time friend, Ed Downer of Bloomfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Yvonne Williams; and brothers, Hubert and Clement Robinson.</p><p><br></p><p>His family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 9-10 a.m., with a Celebration of Life, 10 a.m., at Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1052 Blue Hill Ave., Bloomfield.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will follow in Mt.
