<p>Walsh, Thomas M. (Tommy) of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Monday, June 30th, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born in Japan in September of 1958 and raised in Neptune, NJ by his adoptive parents Robert and Georgina Walsh.</p><p><br></p><p>Tommy graduated from Neptune High School in 1978 and then continued his education at West Virginia University graduating with his degree in Physical Education.</p><p><br></p><p>He returned to his hometown and began what would become a 40 year career in the Neptune Township Public School System. During his tenure he impacted so many lives through his physical education, health, and driver’s education classes, and as a football, wrestling, and weight lifting coach. After an incredible career, he decided to retire at the closing of the 2024 - 2025 school year.</p><p><br></p><p>Outside of work, he was extremely passionate about his family and could always be found supporting one of his grandchildren, nieces, or nephews at sporting events, graduations, or life celebrations. When they weren’t at family celebrations, he and his beloved wife, Ayn, who were together for 18 years, took many adventures together - exploring new restaurants, cities, or visiting family who lived far away.</p><p><br></p><p>Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Robert &amp; Georgina Walsh.
