<p>: Richard A. Parks, Jr., age 79, of Snellville, GA, passed away from cancer Sunday morning, June 29, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Nelle and Richard A. Parks Sr., and his brother, Paul A. Parks. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Andrea J. Parks (née King); their daughter, Colleen M. Parks; and his brother, David R. Parks.</p><p><br></p><p>Rich was born November 15, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. After serving in the Army in the Vietnam War, he married Andrea King in Atlanta in 1972. They later moved to Katy, Texas with their daughter Colleen, where they lived until returning to the Atlanta area after retiring. Rich was known for his love of the outdoors and his sharp wit. His wry, incisive take on the world was a constant source of laughter for those close to him. He will be deeply missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Those wishing to honor Rich’s memory are invited to plant a tree in lieu of flowers.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
