<p>With heavy hearts and unimaginable sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Jesse, who left this world far too soon at the age of 21.</p><p><br></p><p>Jesse was a bright light – fierce, funny, adventurous, and full of love. She had a deep devotion to her family and cherished time spent with those closest to her. Whether it was a quiet evening surrounded by loved ones, or a spontaneous drive to nowhere in particular with the music turned up, Jesse found peace and freedom in the journey.</p><p><br></p><p>She was passionate about fitness and loved to workout, her love for animals, her deep appreciation for travel, and her boundless curiosity about the world were all reflections of her open heart and spirited soul.</p><p><br></p><p>Jesse’s life, though heartbreakingly short, was full of meaning, laughter, connection, and beauty. She leaves behind her loving parents, Paula Russo and Mark Simmonds; her brother, Lukas Simmonds; her grandparents, Mary Ann Russo and Tony (Leslie) Russo; her aunts and uncles, Vince (Nadine) Russo, Benito (Christina) Russo, Steve Simmonds, and Laurie Simmonds (Zarko Trykulja); and her cousins, Owen Russo, Abby Russo, and Chelsey Simmonds (Zach Arlow). Predeceased by her grandparents, Beryl and Steve Simmonds. She is also remembered with love by extended family and by many friends who adored her, she leaves behind countless cherished memories that will keep her close in our hearts forever.</p><p><br></p><p>Jesse will be remembered for her old soul, her free spirit, and the unforgettable light she brought into our lives. We will miss her every day.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral Mass for Jesse Simmonds will be held on Monday July 7th, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church 128 Edgemont St. South Hamilton, On L8K 2H8, the church doors will open at 5:00 pm, the Mass will begin at 6 pm. </p><p><br></p><p>All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jesse’s life.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>In Lieu of flowers please plant a tree</p><p></p>February 2, 2004 - June 17, 202502/02/200406/17/2025
