<p>James Adam "Duke" Steele was born on December 7, 1988, to the union of Tyrone and Beverly Steele in Loxley, Alabama. He left this world on Saturday, May 31, 2025, due to medical reasons at a local hospital. God was prepared to free him from any suffering and granted him a new body that is now flawless. James resided in Loxley, AL, where he worked as a deli manager at Cefco. During his spare time, James took pleasure in detailing vehicles and landscaping yards. He completed his education at Robertsdale High School, graduating in 2007. Anyone who knew James recognized him as a dedicated worker with a heart of gold. He was never a stranger to anyone and always had a kind word or a token of love to share. James lived by the principle of not wasting time being angry with others when forgiveness is an option. He cherished God, his family, his work, and above all, his daughters Kya and Aaliyah.</p><p><br></p><p>James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bessie Mae Burns, Blunzena Steele, and James Steele, Sr. He is also preceded by his aunts and uncles: Sarah Batie, Billy Burns, Betty Wright, Tony Burns, James Steele Jr., and Martha Batie. </p><p><br></p><p>James leaves his memories in care of his parents, Tyrone and Beverly Steele, residing in Loxley, AL, his grandfather, Steve James Page, from Robertsdale, AL, his daughters, Kya Steele and Aaliyah Steele, from Daphne, AL, two sisters, Angela Steele and Brittany Steele, both from Loxley, AL, and two brothers, Tyrone Steele, from Loxley, AL, and Jamielle Brown, from Daphne, AL. Nieces and nephews include Kamiah Gibbs, LaJavian Steele, Nylayah Watson, and Ayden Steele, along with a great niece, Journei Gibbs. He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles, including three devoted: Uncle John Burns Jr., Aunt Judy Frost, and Aunt Linda Longmire.
