<p>Gerald John Engel of Macomb Township, passed away June 6, 2025 at the age of 90.</p><p><br></p><p>Gerald was born on January 8, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Reuben and Margaret (Wilcoff) Engel. Gerald married Marjorie LaMontague in Detroit, Michigan on October 27, 1984. They were married 39 years when Marjorie passed away in 2023. Gerald was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; he was a man of great faith and will be deeply missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Treasured husband of the late Marjorie; loving father of Jeffrey A. Engel, Jill (Steve) Billingsley, Michelle Lewinski, Craig LaMontague and Paul LaMontague; adored grandpa of Christian, Simone (Andrew), Zachary, J.P. and Sydney; and cherished brother of two.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb. The funeral for Gerald will be Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with an instate time of 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Worship Center, 47120 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will take place at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery-East, Macomb.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>January 8, 1935 - June 6, 202501/08/193506/06/2025
