<p>On Tuesday afternoon, May 13, 2025, Richard L. Sherbondy, age 68, of Findlay Township, Imperial, PA, ended his long and difficult battle with prostate cancer, passing away at his residence with his loving wife and faithful dogs by his side.&nbsp; Rich entered this world on March 1, 1957, and lived the majority of his life in Imperial, PA.&nbsp; He was a well-respected and kind man who worked hard.&nbsp; Rich took great pride in his home and loved working in the yard and creating many projects.&nbsp; He single-handedly built a pavilion, fire pit, and small barn. </p><p>Rich loved animals, and deer and other critters visited his yard daily.&nbsp; His favorite visitor was Stella, a white-tailed deer who loved wheat bread, grapes, and other goodies.&nbsp; Rich gained her trust, and Stella grew to love head scratches along with her treats.&nbsp; Stella continues to visit in hopes of seeing her old friend. </p><p>Rich’s favorite pastime was spending money, especially on new vehicles.&nbsp; He enjoyed buying a new truck and adding every accessory he could find.&nbsp; He enjoyed muscle cars and going to car shows with his Mach 1. </p><p>Rich is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 31 years, Cynthia “Cyn” (McElhaney) Sherbondy; his sons, Richard Sherbondy, Michael (Tiffany) Sherbondy, Jeremy (Aimee) Sherbondy, and Bryan (Sammy) Sherbondy.&nbsp; Rich also leaves behind his loving siblings, Harry (the late Kay) Sherbondy, Donna (the late Joseph) Ray, Daniel (Ramona) Sherbondy, and Robert (Donna) Sherbondy.&nbsp; In addition, Rich is survived by five grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Rebecca A. Sherbondy, who passed in 1972, and his mother-in-law, Virginia E. McElhaney, who passed on June 13, 2023. </p><p>Rich’s most devoted and heartbroken survivor is his little Jack Russell Terrier, Bree Bree, who never left his side throughout his illness.&nbsp; Rich also leaves behind his beloved Pit Bull, Brenna, who often “helped” with yard work and was equally gifted in providing kisses and snuggles. </p><p>Family to receive friends for a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, May 31, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m., at HERRICK COMPASSIONATE FUNERAL SERVICE, PC, Edward M. Herrick, Supervisor/Owner, 951 Cliff Mine Road, North Fayette Township, Imperial, PA, (724) 695-7332.&nbsp; It is respectfully requested that donations in Rich’s memory be sent to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA, 15001; or, use the money as a down payment on a new vehicle. </p>
