Frederick P. Richard, 64, of Salisbury, passed away, Thursday, May 15, at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Paul and Pauline (Gagnon) Richard. He was the loving father of two daughters, Stacey and Kristina Richard.

Frederick grew up in Ipswich and attended school there as well. In the early years of his career, he was a sheet metal fabricator. That was before Fred found his true calling and became a self-employed flooring installer. This was a job that he truly enjoyed and spent the majority of his life doing.

This, however, could not compare with Fred’s true passion, which was spending time with his family. Fred participated in everything. Whether it was going to the zoo or going to see the butterflies in Ipswich, he loved being with his family. There wasn’t a game or a dance recital, for his daughters or grandchildren, that Fred did not attend. He loved anything to do with water. He enjoyed boating, kayaking, canoeing or spending time at the beach with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping, sitting by the fire in his backyard and swimming in his pool. As long as he was with his family, Fred was happy. He will be greatly missed by all of his loved ones; but we know he will always be looking after us.

Frederick is survived by his two daughters, Stacey Richard and her husband Eric Gibson and Kristina Richard and her partner David Ware; his ex-wife and best friend, Rose Richard; two brothers, Tim Richard and his wife Julie and Brian Richard and his wife Lori; four sisters, Wendy Brigham and her husband Paul, Amy Keenan and her husband Dan, Debbie Richard and her wife Liz and Donna Richard and her partner Glenn and grandchildren, Lavender Zagranis, Jem Zagranis, Cole Gibson, Alexah Richard, Cohen Richard and Madison Richard, who will join the family in October and many nieces and nephews.
