<p>Otto Washington Renner, III, 83, formerly of Audubon, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Meadowood in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of Marcia (Tetlow) Renner to whom he was married for over 60 years. Born March 5, 1942, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Otto, Jr. and Sarah (Sensenig) Renner.</p><p><br></p><p>Otto, known affectionately as “Wash” by close friends and family, grew up in Cheltenham where he graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1960. Otto first attended Cornell University and later transferred to Ursinus College to be closer to home to help with his three younger siblings after his father’s death during his freshman year of college.</p><p><br></p><p>After college, Otto married his high school sweetheart Marcia and enlisted in the Navy where he served for three years on the USS Belmont (AGTR-4) based out of Norfolk, Virginia. During his tour of duty, his ship performed surveillance off the coast of South America. After leaving the Navy, Otto worked in marketing for several years at UNIVAC, then at Shaffer Advertising, and later served for many years as Director of Corporate Communications at UGI Corporation. After retiring from UGI, Otto worked for Fonthill Press for several years as the Editor of Pool and Spa Living Magazine.</p><p><br></p><p>For many years, Otto spent his free time sailing, following Philadelphia sports, spending time with family, visiting the Jersey shore, enjoying reading, movies and good conversation. He was fun-loving and was the king of puns and dad jokes. He's remembered fondly as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and for his positive spirit, sense of humor, warm smile and the twinkle in his eye.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Rodgers Renner and his wife, Kelly (Thomann) Renner, of Collegeville and Julie (Renner) Arcelus and her husband, Victor John Arcelus, of Waterford, CT; his siblings, Michael Renner, Penelope Montague, and Patricia Timm; and his grandchildren, Madison, Tessa, Matías, and Ekaterina.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Washington Memorial Chapel, 2000 Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406, where friends may greet the family from 10 – 11 AM.
