<p style="text-align: center;">January 31, 1972 – Calgary, Alberta</p><p style="text-align: center;">May 3, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br></p><p>It is with great sadness that we announce that Susanne Knight, our beautiful partner, sister, aunt, friend, and confidante, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of 53 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on January 31, 1972, in Calgary, AB, she attended St. James Elementary and Junior High School, Bishop Carroll High School, and later attended the University of Calgary, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She moved to Australia to complete a graphic design program, returning to Canada working in Yellowknife, NWT, for the local paper, and then in Calgary for the Yellow Pages as well as for a home builder designing new homes. She met the love of her life, Joel Baldwin, in 1996, and they shared their lives together until her death.</p><p><br></p><p>Susan was predeceased by her parents, Ursula and Leonard, both of whom she cared for when they were no longer able to care for themselves. Susan was empathetic to a fault. A caring, giving, non-judgmental, positive, and loving individual. She never had an unkind word for anyone. She was curious about others’ lives, always giving encouragement, support, and showing her kindness.</p><p><br></p><p>She was the one who always made the effort to stay in touch—from her regular get-togethers with her junior high and high school friends, to the Christmas packages, birthday gifts, and regular handwritten letters to all her friends and relatives across Canada and abroad. She was the one who prepared the Christmas and birthday cards for everyone to sign, she was the one to send the update letters to family, and shared their letters with all of us here in Calgary.</p><p><br></p><p>She loved her nephew and two nieces.
