Gilles Marc Veilleux

Gilles Marc Veilleux, 90, of Ludlow, MA., entered eternal rest peacefully at his home on May 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a faithful and active communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the League of Sacred Heart and spent many hours at Christ the King Chapel. Gilles loved spending time with all the family throughout the years. He played the harmonica with his brother-in-law (guitar), danced, sang and celebrated all the holidays. He had a smile that would melt your heart and a gentleness that was calming and loving. He would be the first one to help you if there was a need no matter what. Gilles leaves his son, Marc and wife Wendy Veilleux of Enfield, Connecticut & their children: Amanda (Greg) LeBeau, Lindsay Veilleux, Noah Veilleux, Sophie Veilleux (John), Holly Veilleux, Madison Veilleux and Peter Veilleux; his daughter, Ginette Veilleux and partner, Michael, of South Hadley, Massachusetts; step-son, David Beauregard and his wife, Maureen of Ludlow, MA, and their children, Melanie (Patrick), Brian (Kevin), Benjamin and Michelle (Christian) and Bill Almeida of Ludlow, MA and his children, Caitlin and Christian and step-daughter, Lisa Almeida and her partner, Chris, of Virginia and 6 great grandchildren, and his sister Huguette and Richard Hallee of Canada. He also leaves extended family and friends, including sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. Gilles was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa Almeida-Veilleux, his step-daughter, Darlene Almeida and nine siblings; Eva, Adjutor, Agathe, Jeanne d’Arc, Romeo, Irene, Camille, Wilbrod, Bernadette. Calling hours for Gilles will be held on Monday, May 12th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Elizabeth's Parish for a 10:00am Liturgy of Christian Mass. Following The Liturgy a funeral procession will commence to Island Pond Cemetery for final burial.
