<p>Henry Leo Noel, 94, of Vernon, beloved husband of Nancy Noel, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 at Woodlake of Tolland.</p><p><br></p><p>Henry was born on August 7, 1930 in Hartford, the son of the late Henry P. and Loretta (LeRoux) Noel. He attended St Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, Ct, and then joined the U.S. Army.</p><p><br></p><p>Henry is a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany, from 1948-1952 during the post WWII/Korean War era. Henry excelled at football, playing in Germany and was invited to the New York Football Giants training camp and was an excellent athlete. Henry was a dedicated Office Services Manager with Heublein, Inc. for over 33 years prior to his retirement. He was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Vernon.</p><p><br></p><p>Henry was an avid bowler and played at Rockville Lanes in the Sunday Night Bowling League, and enjoyed playing setback with his lifelong friends and neighbors Benny & Jo. Henry loved hockey and was one of founders of the Vernon Youth Hockey Association (VYHA), where he dedicated many years involved in the program. He also was the president of Vernon Little League and a member of the American Legion.</p><p><br></p><p>Henry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nancy (Choma)) Noel of over 70 years whom he married on October 16, 1954, his four sons, Stephen Noel of Vernon, David and Kathleen Noel of Manchester, Dennis and Kathy Noel of Venice, Florida, Christopher and Iris Noel of East Hampton, four grandchildren Nicholas, Jonathan, Cameron and Nadia; a brother John Noel; and a sister Rita Powell.</p><p><br></p><p>He was predeceased by his brother Raymond, and two sisters Jeanne Collier and Louise Labbe.</p><p><br></p><p>Henry’s family would like to sincerely thank the Veterans Administration medical care and support team, Masters In Home Care, and Woodlake at Tolland for their kind and compassionate care during his illness. We would also like to express our sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Ro Kalisz during this difficult time.</p><p><br></p><p>The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday May 13, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard’s Church Rockville, CT at 11:00AM. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Valley Falls Cemetery, Vernon followed by reception at St. Bernard's Church. Heritage Funeral Home, Suffield has been entrusted with the arrangements.
