<p><p>It is with deep sadness that the family of Brenda Joy Peterson announces her passing on May 6, 2025. Brenda was born on September 12th, 1960 in Dallas, TX and is survived by her husband Marvin Peterson, her daughter Sonja Peterson of Spicewood, TX; son Justin Peterson (Mina) of Temple, TX; grandchildren Kyle Peterson (Grace Cox) and Kayla Peterson (Shawn Butler); and great granddaughter Paisley Mae Peterson all of Temple, TX; brothers Larry Akin (Penny) and Scott Akin (Joyce); and her sister Janis Hawken.</p><p><br></p><p>She is also survived by her many nephews and nieces. </p><p><br></p><p>Brenda lived a vibrant life filled with love, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.</p><p><br></p><p>Brenda's spirit will forever inspire those who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, from 12:00pm -2:00pm at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, funeral services will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>The family of Brenda Joy Peterson would like to thank everyone for all the kind words and many prayers. We would also like to give a special thanks to hospice. We are extremely thankful for all of you.</p><p><br></p><p>In her final days Brenda wanted to share the following thought:</p><p>“Choose Kindness. When life gives you an option, select the kindest route in response.
