<p>Robert (Bob) Glendon Valentine<br> August 2, 1927 – May 5, 2025 </p><p>Bob Valentine, 97, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 in his home. </p><p>Born on August 2, 1927, in Cumberland, Maryland, Bob lived a full and honorable life marked by dedication to his country, his work, and most of all, his family. A proud Navy veteran, he carried the values of service, discipline, and loyalty throughout his life. </p><p>Bob worked diligently at both Westinghouse and the Solo Cup Company, building a career defined by hard work and reliability. Outside of work, he was a man of joy and warmth—a devoted husband to the late Dolores Lotterer Valentine, with whom he shared many cherished years. </p><p>He was known for his infectious smile, his quick wit, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He had a unique ability to make those around him feel valued and loved. Whether telling a story, sharing a laugh, or offering a listening ear, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Bob was a passionate sports fan and would rarely miss an Orioles or Ravens game. Just as strong as his love for his family and sports, was his love for his cats, who brought him great warmth, comfort and companionship to his life. </p><p>Bob is survived by his loving children, Barbara Adamez (Paul) and Glen Valentine (Terry); six grandchildren - Stacey Permenter, Fred Permenter, Kevin Permenter, Karyn Stinchcomb, Scott Valentine, and Mandy Lowe; fifteen great-grandchildren - Matthew, Katlyn, Issak, Samuel, Jordan, Kaylah, Marley, Logan, Violet, Arley, Winnie, William, Wyatt, Gwenyth, Miles, and four great-great-grandchildren - Isabella, Olivia, Amelia, and Owen.&nbsp; His family was his pride and joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them. </p><p>He will forever be remembered as a funny, loving, caring, and warm-hearted man whose legacy lives on in the generations of family he helped shape. </p><p>Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Fink Funeral Home at 426 Crain Highway Glen Burnie, MD 21061.&nbsp; The viewing will be from 11am-1pm, with the Service to follow from 1:00pm - 1:30pm. </p><p>The family invites those who knew Bob to celebrate his life by joining us at the funeral home to share memories and honor the joy he brought into the world. </p><p>Donations in leiu of flowers are welcomed to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
