<p>Karen E. Hirth</p><p><br></p><p>Went to join her beloved husband, John, on May 3, 2025, at the age of 84. Loving mother to son Reese, daughter Andre, and son-in-law Bob. Dearest “Nana” to grandchildren Sumner (Mike), Kelsey (Andy), Tanner. She was preceded in death by her dearly beloved grandson Jiordan. Cherished “Nana” to great-grandchildren Violet, Eveline, Jack, Delilah, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ruth, and brother Glen.</p><p><br></p><p>An avid baker, Karen enjoyed trying out new recipes and frequently brought her questions to the King Arthur Baker’s Hotline, where they probably knew her by name. Her loved ones were lucky to be the recipients of her finished baked goods, which were always perfectly packaged, never a detail amiss. Gifts were also expertly selected then wrapped in coordinating ribbons and stickers, and to her grandchildren’s displeasure (and her delight!), not a single inch was without tape. Her love was always evident. We will cherish the hours (and hours) spent chatting on the phone, and the countless conversations we were blessed to have.</p><p><br></p><p>An ever-present and playful grandmother/great-grandmother (and self-proclaimed “Nana-Banana”), she made donut deliveries, visited lemonade stands, attended sporting events, and school concerts, procured kitchen gadgets, joined in cooking classes, generously used emojis in her messages, and never, ever missed a birthday.
