<p>With love and sorrow, we share the passing of John Charles Mersmann, 63 of Middletown, New Jersey Jersey - who departed this life in the early hours of May 2, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.</p><p><br></p><p>John lived a life marked by resilience, warmth and compassion. He earned his bachelors degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and built a life surrounded by the people and places he loved most.</p><p><br></p><p>John is survived by his world, his beloved wife of 28 years Melissa Ann. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters Dr. Cynthia Mersmann, Carol Walker, and Nancy Krajewski;&nbsp; his cherished dogs, Ginger and Pip; niece Lauren Murner, nephew Brad Krajewski; sister-in-law, Wendy Arrington and brother-in-law Brian Arrington. He was predeceased by his parents John A and Judith Mersmann.</p><p><br></p><p>John was a passionate fan of Buffalo Bills and a diehard New York Yankee supporter. He took great joy in life's simple pleasures - having a cold beer, enjoying sports, and watching his favorite TV shows and movies.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing will be held on Thursday May 8th from 1-5pm at Everegreen Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Rest easy john, you are loved always.&nbsp;</p>
