<p>Rebecca Jean Thorpe Crawford, 67 of Parkersburg West Virginia passed away suddenly at WVU Camden Clark hospital on Monday, April 29, 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born in Parkersburg May 28, 1957 to the late Jesse and Mary Thorpe.</p><p><br></p><p>Rebecca‘s passion was teaching she spent over 45 years teaching and nurturing hundreds of children throughout her career. Rebecca will be remembered for her tireless efforts in helping her students excel in school and in life.</p><p><br></p><p>Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen, and her husband, the love of her life David Crawford .</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her brothers Fred Thorpe, his wife Marcia from Wake Forest, North Carolina Joseph Thorpe, his wife Vicki of Vienna, Andrew Thorpe and his wife, Pam of Vienna and one sister Maryann Petrie, her husband Wayne of Columbus Ohio &nbsp; and several nieces and nephews that she truly adored.</p><p><br></p><p>The viewing will be held Wednesday, May 7th from 4 PM until 7 PM at Leavitt funeral home at 403 Seventh Street in Parkersburg. The funeral will be Thursday, May 8 at 11 AM and internment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery .</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.leavittfuneralhome.com</p><p><br></p>
