Roberta "Bobbi" L. Cotterman
<p> </p><p>Bobbi Cotterman, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2025. She was born Roberta L. Hunter to Robert and Elizabeth Hunter on February 23, 1931, in Wooster, Ohio. She graduated from Wooster High School in 1949 and the Aultman School of Nursing as an RN in 1952. That same year, she married Richard “Dick” Cotterman. The family jokes that Bobbi Hunter Cott-her-man! Bobbie was a wonderful mother to her 5 children, Mike (Gail), Connie (Byron), Karen (Marc), Tom (Michelle), and Amy (Paul); grandma to her 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Bobbi was an active member of Maranatha Bible Church, where she was a member of the SALT class, and she and Dick hosted many Bible studies in their home. She loved gardening, sewing, knitting, and spending time with her family. She loved to help friends and family in need.<br> <br> Bobbi was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dick; her daughter Amy; son-in-law Paul; and her parents. She is survived by her 4 children; sisters Linda Hawkins (Lynn) and Debi Nelson (John); 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.<br> <br> A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Schermesser Eberhardt Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 to 1 PM on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
