<p>Jose Vasquez Atkinson (Joe), 52, ascended to eternal peace on April 29, 2025, in Rio Hondo, Texas. Joe was born on August 15, 1972, in Coalinga, California.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe was a beacon of joy and love, illuminating the lives of all fortunate enough to know him. He was a firm believer of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed listening to oldies, riding his motorcycle, and cherishing moments at the family ranch. His infectious humor and zest for life made him the heart of every gathering. Joe's compassionate nature and youthful spirit enabled him to connect with anyone, sharing stories of his adventures and the countless blessings in his life.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by his loving parents, Jose Ramos Atkinson and Elvia Vasquez Atkinson; his sisters, Susana (Roy) Lopez and Wanda (Art) Hernandez; his life partner, Belinda Adames; extended family, Melissa Atkinson, Jessica Atkinson, and Jewellisa Vasquez; stepchildren Jessica, Jesus, Jenniva and Josue Vasquez; and his grandchildren Lyla and Lilly Enloe, Eddic, Ezra, and Ember Ramirez, Liam Atkinson, Ariel Canelo, Julius Maynard, and Alison Vasquez-Barron.</p><p><br></p><p>His memory will also be treasured by his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, including Annette (Ruben) Cortez, Joe Anthony Atkinson, LilyRose (Ricky) Ramirez, Destiny Hernandez, Emily Hernandez, Hilary Hernandez, Evelyn, Raelyn, and Zaelyn Cortez, Aubree and Adalyn Ramirez, Devyn Hernandez, Seanna and Savannah Atkinson.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe was welcomed into eternal rest by his grandparents, Rogerio and Marcelita Atkinson, and Alberto and Emilia Vasquez.</p><p><br></p><p>Private services will be held to celebrate his life.
