<p>WINSTED –</p><p><br></p><p>Donald Coloske, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of</p><p>Donna Ellsmore-Coloske for 24 adventurous years. Born July 30, 1956 in Bristol; the son of the late Donald “Corky” Coloske and Margaret “Marge” (Valigursky) Coloske.</p><p><br></p><p>Don was retired and enjoyed working in his yard for several hours a day whenever he was not out in the woods or on the water.</p><p>He designed and built stone walls and walkways, adding plantings, always trying to beautify the landscape. He spent many days splitting wood or puttering in his barn. He was an avid outdoorsman and lived for fishing and hunting— especially</p><p>bird hunting with his dogs in Goshen.</p><p><br></p><p>He was always willing to help those in need and is already deeply missed by his family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Erica Coloske of NC; grandson, Austin Coloske of NC; granddaughter,</p><p>Amber Coloske of Winchester; siblings, Bob Coloske and wife Ingrid of New Hartford, John Coloske and wife Lisa of MA and Diane Mikuski and husband Joe of NC; nieces, Brittany Curran and husband Tim, Leah Lampognana and husband Lucas and Emily Coloske as well</p><p>as several other nieces and nephews; in-laws, Pam and Vinny Testa, Brian (Ellmo) and Maria Ellsmore, Glenn and Joni Ellsmore and Steve and Liz Ellsmore; and his beloved dog, Brutus.</p><p><br></p><p>His final sendoff will be private.
