<p>Kellie Wilson Wesson, 44, of Claremont, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born June 12, 1980 in Catawba County to Carl and Elwanda Fisher Wilson. Kellie was a 1998 graduate of Bandys High School and a 1999 graduate of Kings College with a degree in Administrative Assistant. Kellie was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Her faith in God was her greatest strength and wonderful testimony to others. She was active with the Balls Creek Optimist Park. She spent many years coaching cheerleading and softball for the optimist park. She enjoyed attending camp meeting and working in the shack. She was employed at Lindy’s Furniture in Hickory and Untouchables Pizza in Denver, which were both places she loved. She never met a stranger. Everywhere she went she made friends. Many will remember her for her friendship and the kindness she showed to others. From vacations, to family gatherings and the many sporting events she attended for her children, Kellie cherished spending time with family and friends. Peyton and Wyatt were her pride and joy. Mark was the love of her life. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish her memory are;</p><p><br></p><p>Husband of 24 years: Mark Wesson of the home</p><p><br></p><p>Son: Wyatt Lee Wesson of the home</p><p><br></p><p>Daughter: Peyton Elizabeth Wesson of the home</p><p><br></p><p>Father and Mother: Carl and Elwanda Fisher Wilson of Catawba</p><p><br></p><p>Sister: Sarah Elizabeth Wilson of Maiden</p><p><br></p><p>Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law: Ronnie and Dianne Wesson</p><p><br></p><p>Sister-In-Law and husband: Connie and Will Burkett</p><p><br></p><p>Nephews: Paxton and Jameson Milburn, Hunter Burkett and wife, Breanna, Bryson Burkett, and Luke Burkett</p><p><br></p><p>Great Niece: Mallory Burkett</p><p><br></p><p>A service to celebrate Kellie’s life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 South Main St., Catawba, NC 28609. Rev. Michael Daniels will officiate. The body will lie in state from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Those serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Burkett, Bryson Burkett, Derrick Houston, Lee Nantz, JP Nantz, and Tracy Myers. Luke Burkett will serve as honorary pallbearer.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, P.O.
