<p>Larue Triplett Lanier joined her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2025. Born January 1, 1925, to Elva (Allumbaugh) and John Triplett in Dallas, Texas, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A 1943 graduate of Abbot High School, she mostly grew up in the Hill Country. Larue retired from the J.C. Penny corporation after a 20+ year career. On June 21, 1946, she became in the beloved bride of Clyde Lanier, and the couple shared three children, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Family was her greatest treasure. </p><p><br></p><p>She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lainer; parents, Elva and John Triplett; all her siblings; son John Lanier; son-in-law Don Childress; grandson Christopher Lanier; step grandchildren Obra Foster III, and Mernika Cofer. </p><p>Larue is survived by children Brenda Lanier Childress, Brian Lanier and wife Rechelle; six grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 4:00pm, at Waxahachie City Cemetery.</p>January 1, 1925 - April 25, 202501/01/192504/25/2025
