<p><p>Josephine C. Alvarado of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, surrounded by family and passed after a brief illness. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was 83 years old.</p><p><br></p><p>She is preceded in death by her husband Romulo H. Alvarado, Sr. and daughter Irene Alvarado, parents Pete B. Cano and Aurelia G. Cano, brothers Peter G. Cano, Jr. and Ernest G. Cano.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children Ralph (Bertha) Alvarado, Patricia A. (James) Kruse, Raymond (Esmeralda) Alvarado, Phyllis (Nickolas) Lopez, Romulo H. Alvarado, Jr. (Melissa Jimenez,) Richard (Roxanne) Alvarado, Oscarine (Rudy Sr.) Garcia, Norma Alvarado and Robert (Dustin Polasek) Alvarado. She leaves behind her sister Dorothy C. Hille. She has twenty-one grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a homemaker for most of her adult life while raising nine children. She enjoyed watching tv shows such as The Golden Girls, Wheel of Fortune and many different soap operas. She spent her Golden Years attending church, being an avid pet lover and playing card games such as Phase 10.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 30, 2025, from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home located at 5921 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Mass will be celebrated on May 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help located at 5830 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.</p></p>September 29, 1941 - April 23, 202509/29/194104/23/2025
