<p>Carol Ann Whorton (Kerns) passed away on April 17, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on September 28, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Carol lived a life marked by adventure, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the joys of living </p><p>Carol was the beloved mother of three daughters: Melissa Zuniga, Maegan Walls, and Madalyn Whorton. Their lives were enriched by Carol's vibrant spirit and unwavering support. Carol also cherished her six grandchildren—Chelsea Zuniga, Caden Zuniga, Zaida Walls, Camryn Zuniga, Chase Zuniga, and Leland Walls—each of whom brought immense joy to her life. </p><p>Carol is remembered with love by her brothers Philip Kerns and David Kerns. They now join in remembrance with those who preceded Carol in death: their father William Kerns, mother Frances Kerns, brother Stephen Kerns, and sister Sharon Kerns. </p><p>A true adventurer at heart, Carol embraced life with open arms. She found joy in travel and music—especially concerts—and sought out experiences that brought excitement and connection. Her passion for life was matched only by her compassion for others. Known for their generous heart, Carol often gave freely of her time and resources—donating clothes, food, money, or simply being present when someone needed support. </p><p>To honor Carol's remarkable life and spirit, a Celebration of Life will be held on May 4, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at 6239 E. 15th St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112.
