<p><p>Kathleen "Kathy" Zuzulo (née Gil), 77, passed away on March 19, 2025, in New Rochelle, New York. Born on September 13, 1947, in the Bronx, New York, she lived a life defined by resilience, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to those around her. She loved going to the beach, dining out, doing crossword puzzles, taking drives to see the leaves in the fall, and spending time with her family and friends. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. </p><p>Kathy grew up in the Parkchester neighborhood of the Bronx where she attended St Raymond’s Academy. She later went on the achieve a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Mathematics at St John’s University. She spent over 4 decades as an educator where her passion for education and helping others shaped her career and personal life alike. </p><p>In her late 30s, Kathy faced a significant health challenge when she underwent surgery to remove tumors from her spinal column. Though this left her with limited mobility, she never allowed it to define or hinder her spirit. Her strong will and optimism were an inspiration to all who knew her. She remained a steadfast source of support for many, offering compassion, wisdom, and humor that endeared her to an extensive social circle. Her quick wit and unflappable nature made her a pillar of strength for those navigating difficult times. </p><p>Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Nick, and beloved sons, Tim (Melissa), Jason, and Nicholas (Cristina). She was also a cherished grandmother to Vienna, Valentina, Serafina, and Alessandra. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerard and Cathrin Gil, as well as her daughter-in-law, Lee Toterhi. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, who will forever cherish their memories of her. </p><p>Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24,2025 from 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10801. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church, followed by procession to Gate Of Heaven, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532, for a Graveside Service and Burial. </p><p><br></p></p>September 13, 1947 - March 19, 202509/13/194703/19/2025
