<p>Allysia Marie Dodge, died peacefully on March 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Hudson Valley Hospice House in Hyde Park. Allysia fought a courageous battle with stomach cancer since her diagnosis in August of 2023, having multiple surgeries, procedures and treatments.</p><p><br></p><p>Allysia was born on March 16, 1991, in Ekaterinburg, Russia. On May May 18, 1995, she was adopted by her loving parents Bill and Carol (Perkins) Dodge. She attended local schools, graduating from FD Roosevelt High School in 2009, where she played volleyball and was a member of the crew team. Allysia was a beautiful soul with a heart of gold, extraordinarily compassionate and a fierce competitor. She loved the outdoors, flowers and the ocean.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Russell Dodge (Zineb), and sister, Brianna Dodge Wasilewski (Joseph), and grandmother, Marianne Dodge. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and fiancé, Adam Saloomey.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by grandparents, Eleanor (Reimuth) and Richard Perkins Sr. and Thomas and Dawn Dodge.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to extend a sincere amount of gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff who have cared for her during her illness, as well as the Dyson Center. Special thanks to the Hospice House in Hyde Park. All of these compassionate and loving professionals treated Allysia as a very special person, and not just a patient. For that we will be eternally grateful. Allysia touched everyone’s heart she met.</p><p><br></p><p>We thank the many friends and family who continued to provide support to Allysia. It truly lifted her spirit to be loved by so many people.</p><p><br></p><p>Special thanks to Hope for Stomach Cancer for their genuine love and “hope”. Allysia was invited to attend the Hope for Stomach Cancer Symposium and Advocacy Day as a guest in May of 2024. She was truly appreciative of this honor and benefited greatly from her experience. She met many compassionate people in this organization. Allysia was the subject of a video on Stomach Cancer highlighting the need for early detection and research. She was very proud to participate in this endeavor.</p><p><br></p><p>In keeping with Allysia’s wishes, we ask that people attending the service wear something in “periwinkle blue” which is the color of Stomach Cancer Awareness.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, on Friday, March 14th from 3 to 7 PM.
