<p>Patty Jeanne (Pylant) Kosier passed peacefully to be with our Lord Jesus on March 2, 2025 at 97 years old. She was born September 3, 1927 in McAllen, Texas to parents Ira and Maggie Pylant.</p><p><br></p><p>Patty loved to paint and would use any type of canvas, wood, t-shirts, and more to express her talent. When she lived in Corpus Christi she would go to the beach, set-up the easel and paint for hours, including putting the beach sand on her painting. She painted on t-shirts for anybody she knew and added her own “special touches.” Patty wrote and self-published a book in 1990 about her mother, Maggie Mae Setzer, that Maggie Valley, North Carolina was named for her. Her and Claude visited Maggie Valley many times to sell the book, visit family and friends, and enjoy the beautiful mountains.</p><p><br></p><p>Patty was a very strong Christian for all her life and enjoyed reading/studying the Bible, attending many different Churches, and telling others about Jesus. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them camping, playing games, listening to music, cooking, traveling, and much more. For many years, Patty was the “family photographer” and she took pictures of everybody and anything.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceded in death by her husband, Claude Russell Kosier of 49 years (married in Houston, Texas July 3, 1952), they were blessed with three children: Claudia Jeanne Kosier (Riley) Gray, Karl Russell (Cyndy) Kosier, and Jenny Lynn Kosier (Kurt) Masters; along with her beloved grandchildren: Krystal Rhiann Hammett, Klinton Russell (Amber) Kosier, Cody Randall Gray, Chad Alan Masters, Adam Russell (Vana) Stevens, and Zack William (Samantha) Masters and her beloved great-grandchildren: Kenedi Crawford, Kari Kosier, Kaylee Kosier, Kade Kosier, and Bonnie Stevens.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412). A funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM, and a burial at 2:30 PM at Seaside Memorial Park (4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412).</p>
