Normand (Norm) Richard, 65, of Memramcook, passed away suddenly on February 14, 2025.

He was everyone’s helper and "specialist" for anything and everything. So many leaned on him to help solve a problem or find a solution. Having licences in various trades such as Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechanic, Stationary Engineer served him well over the years. His license as Machinist was often applied in all Norm's daily routines and he never took short cuts.

Norm was kind, caring, and often placed himself well down the list of priorities. He always enjoyed a good time, live music, travel, family time, hunting and fishing. Any time he was surrounded by his family and friends he was with a contagious smile, a hearty laugh and was well-known for his “Normisms” and his signature dance moves.

Norm was a dedicated and committed employee with Stericycle since 2006. Colleagues and customers alike could always count on Norm to be there in a time of need.

Norm was a loving husband for 38 years to Nancy (Colwell); and a devoted father to his son Corey (Brianna) and daughter Erika (Devin) Field, both of Memramcook. Survived by three loving sisters, Jeannette (Mike) Sears; Lorraine (Fernand) Leblanc; Patricia Leblanc; one brother Bernard, sister in-law Janice and several nieces and nephews. His greatest source of pride was his family and nothing was more important than his grandchildren Chase, Blake and Rowan. He ensured all those around him received equal attention and the love they so richly deserved.

Gone before him and without doubt, his brother Gerry, mother Rita, father Hervé were all waiting anxiously with open arms to welcome Norm home.

“Booga, Booga" Norm, to a life well lived and for sharing your love with so many. It will truly be your legacy.

Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, on Friday February 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm only Funeral mass will be held at the Saint Thomas de Memramcook church in St-Joseph on Saturday February 22 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. In Normand’s memory, donations can be made to Atelier l'Artisan eco-vision or to a memorial of their choice.

"Grief is the price we pay for love" - Queen Elizabeth II
