<p>Nancy C. McKinney, 86, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 6:41 PM, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal, MO.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Mr. Rodger Lane will officiate. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Hannibal, MO.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends and Family are invited to Nancy 's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2025, at the funeral home.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was born June 3, 1938, in Hannibal, MO to Charles Clifford Lane and Gertrude Flora Lain Lane.</p><p><br></p><p>She was married to Walter F. "Sparky" McKinney Sr. on October 22, 1958, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2006.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include four children, Walter "Corky" McKinney Jr. (Laurie) of Tuscumbia, MO, Mark Allen McKinney (Tammie) of New London, MO, Patricia Proper (Robert) of Clarence, MO, and Beth Anne Kruse (Russell) of Concordia, MO; one brother Rodger Lane and his wife, Paulette, who was like a sister to Nancy; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nancy "Diana" McKinney; two sisters, Ferol Kisor (Howard) and Sharon Arlene Hall (Floyd); and three brothers, Harold Lane (Roberta), Charles Clifford Lane (Donna), and Robert Joseph Lane.</p><p><br></p><p>Professionally, Nancy was a caregiver for many years until her retirement working at Levering Hospital, Maple Lawn Nursing Home, and Luther Manor Nursing Center. Nancy was also a home caregiver for years and had several clients whom she loved dearly. Nancy's passion was taking care of babies and older adults.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy possessed a remarkable talent for sewing, creating beautiful clothes for children and cozy baby blankets. Nancy also found peace and strength in her spirituality, often seen reading her Bible, her faith was a guiding light through all seasons of her life. Nancy enjoyed her time spent outdoors, whether it was deer hunting or fishing along the peaceful banks of the Mississippi River. Her younger years were marked by adventures in commercial fishing with her father, a chapter of her life where she learned the value of hard work and the joy of reaping the rewards of a day spent on the water. Her love for cooking was legendary among those who knew her, with homemade noodles, delicious rolls, and fried chicken that were staples at family gatherings. Above all, Nancy treasured the time spent with her family and her beloved grandchildren. Each moment was precious, a chance to share laughter and create memories that would outlast her own lifetime.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Kaden Kruse, Aaron Page, Bill Hedgpeth, Bill Shrum, Richard Lane, and Benjamin Lane.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made to James O'Donnell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.</p>
